Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cut the broccoli into spears discarding the thick ends; steam or cook till tender and then remove.

Step 2

Melt butter in a large non-stick fry pan over medium-high heat.

Step 3

When butter foams, add the lemon juice and cook for 30 seconds; then add the broccoli, lemon zest, salt, and pepper tossing for 1-2 minutes till broccoli is well-coated.

Step 4

NOTE: For a quicker method, use 2 (10-ounce) boxes frozen broccoli cooked according to directions on box; then follow the above recipe.

We love broccoli made this way. I added in the garlic and after the broccoli was cooked a little I sprinkled on the Parmesan cheese and threw on the cover for a minute and it melted the cheese from the steam. I see myself eating this a lot!
