Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds broccoli, fresh (1 bunch)
  • 5 teaspoons unsalted butter (I use regular butter and omit the salt)
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly grated black pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut the broccoli into spears discarding the thick ends; steam or cook till tender and then remove.

  • Step 2: Melt butter in a large non-stick fry pan over medium-high heat.

  • Step 3: When butter foams, add the lemon juice and cook for 30 seconds; then add the broccoli, lemon zest, salt, and pepper tossing for 1-2 minutes till broccoli is well-coated.

  • Step 4: NOTE: For a quicker method, use 2 (10-ounce) boxes frozen broccoli cooked according to directions on box; then follow the above recipe.
