"I feel like Dee posting this one. I think I got the Dee bug...LOL. This dip sounds delicious to me. The cooking time added is in the event that fresh cooked bacon is used to compensate for the onion-bacon dip mix. See Note in the preparation step."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Add sour cream to soft cream cheese and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Garnish iwth strips of pimento. Let stand for 30 minutes. Serve with corn chips or potato chips.

NOTE: I don't think I've seen onion-bacon dip mix, in the recent past anyway. It must have been something that Lipton carried or another brand at the time Joan Crawford was around. I imagine that one could substitute onion soup mix and freshly cooked bacon, cut into small pieces (that's what I would do). However, 2 pkgs onion soup mix may make it too salty!? There are home-made Onion Bacon Mix recipes available on line if you choose to use that instead.
