Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature (1 package)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 packages onion-bacon dip mix (see Note)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Tabasco
  • Horseradish, freshly grated, to taste
  • Pimentos for garnish
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add sour cream to soft cream cheese and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Garnish iwth strips of pimento. Let stand for 30 minutes. Serve with corn chips or potato chips.

  • NOTE: I don't think I've seen onion-bacon dip mix, in the recent past anyway. It must have been something that Lipton carried or another brand at the time Joan Crawford was around. I imagine that one could substitute onion soup mix and freshly cooked bacon, cut into small pieces (that's what I would do). However, 2 pkgs onion soup mix may make it too salty!? There are home-made Onion Bacon Mix recipes available on line if you choose to use that instead.
