Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat the butter and oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Add the onion and bell pepper, cook until tender, 5 minutes.

Step 3

Add the dry salami and banana peppers and heat through.

Step 4

Transfer to a small bowl and set aside.

Step 5

Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, crack the eggs and beat with the milk, season to taste.

Transfer beaten egg mixture to the skillet.

Step 7

Gently push cooked portions of egg from edges toward the center with inverted turner so that uncooked eggs can reach the hot pan surface.

Continue cooking, tilting pan and gently moving cooked portions as needed.

When top surface of eggs is thickened and no visible liquid egg remains, place sausage, onion, and peppers filling on one side of the omelet.

Step 10

Place grated cheese on top of filling and fold omelet in half with turner.

Step 11

Cover and cook until cheese melts
