"I purchased a fundraiser cookbook from a Goodwill store. This recipe, submitted by Pam Hauk for the Stray Rescue cookbook, is one I'd like to try the next time I need an appetizer. The recipe stated the nuts are optional but I really think they should be included, and recommended that it be served with wheat thin crackers, which I agree would be a great compliment."

Great idea for a Halloween party we had at work. I cooked it at home then warmed it in the microwave before serving. I made cinnamon and sugar tortilla chips to have with the dip. Huge hit at the party!
