Step 1

Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat; whisk until smooth. Bring to a boil.

Step 2

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often and adding in more sugar if desired. Remove from heat and cover until cool. Chill and store refrigerated in a covered container for 1 day before using.

This did the trick for me, I needed a small amount of ketchup for a recipe I was making the following day, it worked well. Definatley don't use it the same day it's made it does take on a better flavor if left overnight, thanks I'll use this agin

This is a lovely ketchup! I used no salt added tomato paste, agave and 1/4 tsp salt, everything else the same. My family sure enjoyed it! Will be making this again. Thank you for sharing. Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.
