Step by Step Method

Step 1

Whisk together apricot jam, orange juice, lemon juice and ginger to make a glaze; brush the glaze on both sides of the steaks; grill steaks over hot fire for approximately 10 to 15 minutes minutes, (depending on the thickness of the steaks) brushing often with glaze

Step 2

If using a grill pan, preheat it to very hot to sear the steaks. If using an in door griddler, cook half the time.

Perfect for the two of us! It was quick and easy. I cooked ours in a cast iron frying pan. We loved it with pineapple casserole and rolls.

It was just myself and my dh for Easter at our camp up in Maine. I decided on a ham steak and this looked good. I cooked it on my George Foreman grill and we both devoured it!

I changed it up a little and used pineapple jam instead of apricot, and used the pineapple juice instead of the orange juice. Very tasty!

It was just the two of us for Easter this year so we decided to pick up a ham steak for us to have. This was delicious and we cooked it on our grill outside. I kept adding more glaze as I was cooking it for more flavor. We will have this again.

I made these on my George Foreman grill. They were so much faster to make than cooking a whole ham and I loved the idea of that! They tasted great and my husband and I really liked how everything tasted when they were done. Mashed potatoes, peas and cinnamon chunky applesauce rounded out our meal.
