"One of my favourite ways to use up the Christmas ham."

Step 1

Preheat grill/broiler

Step 2

Butter bread and then layer with the ham, pineapple and finally cheese.

Step 3

Place on a oven proof tray and place under the grill/broiler cook till cheese melts and is bubbly and done to your liking.

Step 4

Slice into triangles if you wish and enjoy.

I halved this recipe for myself, I used white bread and made as written. This was very nice for an easy dinner, and really enjoyed this, although next time I might lightly toast the underside of the bread first. This melt filed the spot for an easy dinner for one... Thanks Pat.

This is really a genius way to make a ham sandwich and I'm surprised why I haven't seen more of it considering that ham and pineapple pizza is part of the norm. I used hearty grain bread, but next time will use a more milder white bread. I also used fresh pineapple. Very yummy and we will surely make these again. Thank you ImPat for a keeper. Made it for Billboard Tag game.
