"This pie is a my husband's grandmother's recipe. She made this with me once after picking strawberries together on a sunny afternoon. It is a family favorite and is usually on our table in late Spring, early Summer. Delicious! (Cook time includes refrigeration time)."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Step 2

In a small bowl mix together flour, 2 Tablespoons sugar, milk, salt and oil.

Step 3

Press mixture into bottom and up sides of a 9-inch pie plate.

Step 4

Bake for 10 minutes; remove from oven, set aside to cool.

Step 5

In a medium sauce pan, heat 1 cup sugar, corn syrup, cornstarch and water until clear and thickened.

Step 6

Stir in strawberry gelatin; remove from burner and set aside to cool.

Step 7

Fold strawberries into the cooled gelatin mixture.

Step 8

Pour into crust and chill for at least 2 hours.

Step 9

Cut into wedges and serve.

Step 10

Great with whipped cream.

Step 11

Refrigerate leftovers (if there any).
