Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat the oven to 425°F. Lightly oil a large baking dish. Drizzle chicken pieces with olive oil and season the drumsticks with salt and pepper and arrange in the dish in a single layer. Bake in the hot oven for 20 minutes.

Step 2

Prepare the glaze in the meantime. Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl until evenly combined.

Step 3

Take the chicken out of the oven and pour a little of the glaze over it, to coat each drumstick. Only use more glaze as needed. Store the rest of the glaze in the frig for future use. Return chicken to the oven and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes, turning several times, until the chicken is tender and nicely glazed.

I made and followed this recipe exactly as written and what a wonderful outcome. Sticky sweet and delicious, and the family love it! Such and easy recipe to make ~ I will be making this again soon. It doesn't get any easier or better than this recipe.

I scaled this back for 1 serve though baked 3 drumsticks as they were on the smaller side. The bit of glaze that was left over I heated in the microwave and poured over the rice and the DS very much enjoyed his dinner. Thank you loveinretirement made for Alphabet Soup game.
