"I have no idea where this recipe came from. It was in my box of unposted recipes, hand written and not my handwriting. It is delicious. Lovely moist, flavour loaded lamb. For the beef broth I doulbe the strength using a whole cube for the 1/4 cup water. I like to serve with boiled potatoes with the pan juices and veggies fork mashed into them. Real comfort food."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Place the sliced onions in the bottom of the crock pot
Step 2
Rub the shanks with worchester sauce, season with salt and pepper, rubbed in.
Step 3
Heat oil in a skillet, high heat and brown the shanks on all sides.
Step 4
Place shanks in the crock pot over the onions and top with garlic cloves
Step 5
Mix together the remaining ingredients, mix well and pour over the shanks.
Step 6
Cook on low for 6-8 hours
Step 7
Serve and enjoy
