Step 1

Trim beans, boil for 4 or 5 minutes until tender crisp- Drain and place in a cast iron fry pan or saucepan, melt butter; add onion and garlic and cook over medium low heat, about 10 minutes. Stir occasionslly until onion is just tender Stir in beans, tyme salt and cayenne, Heat through. Add nuts just before serving.

Green beans are so good out of the garden and I thought this recipe looked like one I would like, so I went ahead and made them. My friend and I thought they were so delicious! I made them to have with a pot roast with roasted carrots and potatoes. It made for a really scrumptious meal!

Great recipe - Green beans are my favorite vegetable and this recipe will be one of my favote ways to serve them I didn't use any buttter just a spray of olive oil, added fresh oregano and skipped the nuts - Thanks Derf
