Step 1

Cook macaroni in boiling salted water and oil for approximately 10 mins.

Step 2

Drain, rinse in cold water and allow to cool.

Step 3

Chop and add remaining ingredients mixed with mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper.

Step 4

Serve very cold on a bed of lettuce and garnished as desired.

--Edit: I would like to modify my review to say that dienia has edited this recipe to reduce the amount of mustard, and I will be giving it another try, because I know we will like it with the smaller amount! -- Although I like all the ingredients in this salad, I felt there was just too much mustard in the recipe. 2 tablespoons overpowered the other flavors. I almost used less, but hate to mess with a recipe the first time I make it. Other than that, I loved the toasted almonds in there! It sounded weird but they were a wonderful addition. I think we would have liked this salad with a teaspoon, or two, of the mustard. Or maybe a less strong mustard than yellow. It tasted better the next day, but still too heavy on the mustard. So sorry, dienia. I love your recipes, but this one didn't work for us.
