Step 1

Cook turkey and onion in a medium fry pan over medium high heat, scramble fry until no longer pink. Drain off fat and transfer cooked meat and onion to crock pot.

Step 2

Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Cook on high 6 to 8 hours.

I followed instructions as noted but added 4 hot banana peppers because hubby loves his chili hot. I did need to add a bit of salt to this. I love the crunch the chickpeas give to this chili and yes the aroma was just lovely. Made for the Alphabet Soup Recipe Tag Game.

Easy and very tasty! I had never used garbanzos in chili until about a month ago in another recipe, and we really like them! And we like using ground turkey for less fat! Thanks for this keeper.
