Step by Step Method
Step 1
Soak beans overnight.
Step 2
Drain.
Step 3
Cook beans in water that covers them, 4 to 6 cups.
Step 4
Simmer 1 hour.
Step 5
Add carrots, celery and onions, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning.
Step 6
Simmer for 30 minutes more.
Step 7
Add milk and season to taste, rinse out can with water and add to soup.
Step 8
Simmer until hot.
