Step 1: Soak beans overnight.
Step 2: Drain.
Step 3: Cook beans in water that covers them, 4 to 6 cups.
Step 4: Simmer 1 hour.
Step 5: Add carrots, celery and onions, Worcestershire sauce and seasoning.
Step 6: Simmer for 30 minutes more.
Step 7: Add milk and season to taste, rinse out can with water and add to soup.
Step 8: Simmer until hot.
