Step 1
Combine chicken, cilantro and hoisin sauce. Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Brush a little water around the edges and press the edges together to seal.
Step 2
Place the chicken stock, ginger, star anise and soy sauce in a sauce pan and simmer over medium-high heat for 3 minutes. Add the dumplings a few at a time and cook for 2 or 3 minutes. place the dumplings in bowls and pour some of the broth over to serve. Serve topped with julienned basil.
