Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 10 ounces ground chicken (minced chicken)
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • Fresh ginger (3 1/2 inch slices)
  • 2 star anise
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil (julienned)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine chicken, cilantro and hoisin sauce. Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Brush a little water around the edges and press the edges together to seal.

  • Step 2: Place the chicken stock, ginger, star anise and soy sauce in a sauce pan and simmer over medium-high heat for 3 minutes. Add the dumplings a few at a time and cook for 2 or 3 minutes. place the dumplings in bowls and pour some of the broth over to serve. Serve topped with julienned basil.
