Step 1

Melt butter in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion, celery and jalapeno, cook for 3 minutes or until tender, stirring frequently. Add flour, cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Step 2

Stir in milk and remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, cook until thick, about 5 minutes.

This awesome quick and easy Chicken Corn Chowder of Derfs has seen to many the making in our kitchen for the past five years! No surprise that this wonderfully creamy great tasting chowder made for one terrific lunch this week! We love, love, love the addition of the jalapeno pepper! Another one of the recipes that has me say "how can anything this easy taste that good!" Thank you for another of your recipes that has been added to our Family Favourites Cookbook and still being enjoyed as much as we did the first time making!
