Step by Step Method
Step 1
Peel cucumber, slice lengthwise and remove seeds. Cut into small chunks.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, combine cucumber, onion, lemon and lime juices, dill (without the stems) and garlic.
Step 3
Add buttermilk, salt, pepper and hot sauce.
Step 4
Let rest about 30 minutes.
Step 5
Transfer mixture to a food processor or blender.
Step 6
If you prefer an extra-fine and smoother consistency, process the mixture longer
Step 7
An immersion blender also can be used.
Step 8
Transfer to a bowl and adjust seasonings.
Step 9
Cover and refrigerate 3 to 4 hours.
