Step 1: Peel cucumber, slice lengthwise and remove seeds. Cut into small chunks.
Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine cucumber, onion, lemon and lime juices, dill (without the stems) and garlic.
Step 3: Add buttermilk, salt, pepper and hot sauce.
Step 4: Let rest about 30 minutes.
Step 5: Transfer mixture to a food processor or blender.
Step 6: If you prefer an extra-fine and smoother consistency, process the mixture longer
Step 7: An immersion blender also can be used.
Step 8: Transfer to a bowl and adjust seasonings.
Step 9: Cover and refrigerate 3 to 4 hours.
