Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat the butter over medium-high heat in a 10-inch or larger cast-iron skillet. Once it's hot, add the sliced sausage and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned. Add the pepper, onion, garlic, cabbage, salt and pepper, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until the vegetables are softened. Add the tomatoes and top with cheese. Transfer to oven for 10 minutes or just until the cheese is bubbly and starting to brown. Serve immediately.

I used turkey kielbasa (it's what I found on my grocery pick-up app) and followed the recipe as directed... wow! So good! Loved the peppers and onions with the sausage, the cabbage cooked down to tender and the tomatoes and cheese brought it all together. Really enjoyed! Made for For Your Consideration Tag Game.

This is very good which we served with boiled potatoes. I used link sausage so it was a bit more than the recipe specified but otherwise made as directed. Thanks for sharing!
