  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 12 ounces smoked sausage (4 roasted garlic smoked sausage links, sliced, or links of your choice)
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 small head cabbage, cored and chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat the butter over medium-high heat in a 10-inch or larger cast-iron skillet. Once it's hot, add the sliced sausage and cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned. Add the pepper, onion, garlic, cabbage, salt and pepper, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until the vegetables are softened. Add the tomatoes and top with cheese. Transfer to oven for 10 minutes or just until the cheese is bubbly and starting to brown. Serve immediately.
