"These are like little cheesecake squares with a crumbly topping. I have been making these for a good many years. This recipe is for an 8" square pan. If you want a 9"x13" pan, you will have to double the recipe."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
TOPPING: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix till crumbly; reserve 1 cup for top.
Step 2
Press the rest into the bottom of an 8" square pan and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes; remove from oven.
Step 3
CHEESE BATTER: With an electric mixer, blend sugar and cream cheese till smooth; add egg, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla; beat well.
Step 4
Spread over the baked crust; sprinkle with remaining cup of crumbs.
Step 5
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes; cut when cool.
