Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425F.

Step 2

In large bowl, combine baking mix and cornmeal.

Step 3

Add green onions and cheese and mix.

Step 4

Stir in milk and egg until a soft dough forms.

Step 5

Lightly sprinkle surface with baking mix.

Step 6

Knead dough on surface until smooth, 1 minute.

Step 7

Roll out dough to 1" thick and cut into rounds or squares.

Step 8

Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Step 9

While biscuits are baking combine the butter, honey and thyme and set aside.

Step 10

You can either brush the hot biscuits with the honey butter or you can split the biscuits and spread the insides with the butter.

I was looking for a biscuit that would go good with baked chicken with thyme, onion and garlic. This was the perfect choice. These biscuits are easy and delicious also!
