Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 cups Bisquick baking mix (plus additional)
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 4 large green onions, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temp
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme or rosemary

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 425F.

  • Step 2: In large bowl, combine baking mix and cornmeal.

  • Step 3: Add green onions and cheese and mix.

  • Step 4: Stir in milk and egg until a soft dough forms.

  • Step 5: Lightly sprinkle surface with baking mix.

  • Step 6: Knead dough on surface until smooth, 1 minute.

  • Step 7: Roll out dough to 1" thick and cut into rounds or squares.

  • Step 8: Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.

  • Step 9: While biscuits are baking combine the butter, honey and thyme and set aside.

  • Step 10: You can either brush the hot biscuits with the honey butter or you can split the biscuits and spread the insides with the butter.
