Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large bowl combine the ricotta with orange peel and 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar.

Step 2

Mix in the mini chocolate chips.

Step 3

In a glass or stainless steel bowl beat heavy cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.

Step 4

Gradually add in remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar beating on high speed until stiff peaks form; gently fold into ricotta mixture.

Step 5

Chill until ready to use.

Step 6

Just before serving pipe into cannoli shells.

I make cannolis every Christmas and usually add cinnamon oil to the filling. I was out of oil and using orange zest instead really helped. They were a big hit! Not to mention, a whole lot cheaper to make! Thanks Kitten!
