Step by Step Method
Step 1
Soak beans overnight and discard water.
Step 2
Place all ingredients except wine vinegar, salt and pepper in a crockpot.
Step 3
Simmer until beans are tender, cooking 6 hours low
Step 4
Puree 2 cups of soup and return to pot.
Step 5
Add wine vinegar and liquid smoke, mix well.
Step 6
Salt and pepper to taste.
Step 7
Garnish with bacon
