Step 1: Soak beans overnight and discard water.
Step 2: Place all ingredients except wine vinegar, salt and pepper in a crockpot.
Step 3: Simmer until beans are tender, cooking 6 hours low
Step 4: Puree 2 cups of soup and return to pot.
Step 5: Add wine vinegar and liquid smoke, mix well.
Step 6: Salt and pepper to taste.
Step 7: Garnish with bacon
