Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Slice the baguette into rounds and brush both sides with olive oil.

Step 3

Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and cook for about 5 minutes, until golden.

Step 4

Remove from oven and set aside.

Step 5

Mix the tomatoes, garlic, basil, green onions and 1 tablespoon olive oil together in a bowl; season with salt and pepper.

Step 6

Spoon tomato mixture over baguette rounds and serve.

mmm first appie we've had on a Sunday for quite a while, sure happy we chose this brushetta, loaded wtih flavour and thouroughly enjoyed. I too added some grated cheese at the last minute and stuck it under the broiler for a couple of minutes.mmm YUM!!

Bergy (RIP" Forever in our Kitchen)

Lovely combination for aa tasty bruschetta. It was cold and snowy outside so I decided that I wanted a hot appetizet so I added a teaspoon to each of a three cheese mixture (Romano, Asiago & Parmesan). Then Brolied them for 14 minutes until the cheese was melted and golden. Thanks QueeBea for a super Sunday Appie
