Step by Step Method

Step 1

Remove and discard large leaves and tough ends of the stalks from the broccoli. Peel and coarsely chop the stems; coarsely chop the florets.

Step 2

Process the cream cheese and next 4 ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Add the broccoli; pulse 12 to 15 times or until finely chopped.

Step 3

Fold in the bacon and remaining ingredients into the cream cheese mixture. Serve immediately, or chill up to 3 days.

Made for the 1st Time Around Tag Game @ FF&F & getting to tag this was a coincidence as I'd already saved a recipe for broccoli dip from myrecipesdotcom. To my surprise, the recipes were identical & I was able to "kill 2 birds" as the saying goes. I was definitely right to be so tempted by these recipes - This was delicious! Full of flavor & texture, altho a tad on the runny side which means being selective about the dippers you choose. I served it w/water crackers & lightly buttered crostini as part of a "dip & dessert" game night w/friends. Thx for sharing this recipe w/us.
