Step by Step Method

Step 1

Wash and trim Brussel sprouts; cut an X on the stem of the sprouts (this helps them to cook faster).

Step 2

Steam or boil sprouts until tender; being careful not to over cook.

Step 3

Place sprouts in small casserole dish and sprinkle 2 tbsp of the melted butter over sprouts and mix to coat.

Step 4

Combine parmesan cheese, dry bread crumbs, garlic powder, black pepper, seasoning salt and remaining melted butter; sprinkle mixture over cooked sprouts.

Step 5

Heat sprouts under broiler until crumb mixture is lightly browned.

Brussel sprouts are one of my favorite vegetables and I enjoyed them made this way a lot. I used the Green Giant Steamer frozen brussel sprouts and steamed them in the microwave. The crispy topping from the cheese and bread crumb topping is great. Luv's thank you for another keeper! Made and reviewed for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game.
