Step by Step Method
Step 1
Trim stems and outer leaves from sprouts.
Step 2
Boil or steam, covered, for 10 minutes, or until crispy-tender.
Step 3
Cook bacon until crisp; remove from pan and drain, reserving 1 tablespoon of fat from pan.
Step 4
Add onion and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 5
Combine sour cream, flour, salt and pepper.
Step 6
Stir sour cream mixture into onion; add crumbled bacon and heat sauce through. If sauce is too thick, add a bit of milk to thin it out.
Step 7
When sprouts are done, drain well, top with sauce and serve.
