Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix milk ingredients together in a saucepan.
Step 2
Simmer chicken broth to almost boiling, don't boil.
Step 3
In stockpot, heat butter and onions.
Step 4
Season lightly when chicken broth is hot.
Step 5
Temper the milk ingredients.
Step 6
Then add the chicken broth to milk.
Step 7
Add to onions.
Step 8
Add rice and chicken.
Step 9
Simmer covered for 20 minutes, stirring so it doesn't burn, don't boil.
Step 10
Season to taste.
Step 11
Stir in sour cream.
