Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook bacon until crispy and remove.
Step 2
Take out all but a tablespoon of bacon grease.
Step 3
Fry onions and peppers just until tender and season lightly.
Step 4
Add rest of ingredients, cover and simmer on low for 35 minutes.
Step 5
Take off heat and let set covered for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Fold in bacon.
