"This recipe has a little bite that can be controlled by which Rotel you choose...mild, regular or hot. I use one mild and one regular. As with all my recipes, please feel free to make it your own. I get 6 or 7 quart bags from this recipe, though it's easily halved."

I used mild Rotel to hold the heat down, but it sure added lots of flavor. Loved this thick and delicious sauce. There is nothing worse than a watery sauce! Keeper here!

Excellent flavour and so easy. I made half a recipe , 2 lbs hamburger, but doubled the red wine, a Merlot. Rotel is not available here so I added a teaspoon full of crushed chillies flakes, had just the right heat for us. I made it for the week end as we have grandkids coming , but we had some for supper tonight, it was delicious over linguine, and i have two very large portions in the freezer. Thanks for posting, it's been a long time since i made home made spaghetti sauce, I will certainly be making this again.
