Step 1

Put cream cheese into the bowl of your food processor. Add capers, lemon juice and zest, dill and salt. Mix until just combined, leaving the capers a bit chunky.

Step 2

Spread thickly onto bagels and top with the smoked salmon and red onions.

I scaled back for 1 serve and had enough cream cheese left to make a second and I was very tempted to do so as it was just so delicious but there is always tomorrow. I didn't worry about a food processor and just mixed with a fork squashing the capers leaving them a bit chunky other than that I did lightly toast my bagel, thank you Jaquie55 for a great lunch, made for Alphabet Soup tag game.

Perfect way to have your bagel and lox. Omitted the onion (personal preference); the capers and dill are so good in this!
