Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cut the chicken wings into 2 pieces at the joint, discarding the tips.

Step 2

Place the chicken wings in a non metallic dish and add the remaining ingredients.

Step 3

Toss well to coat, then cover and let marinated in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Step 4

Preheat the grill.

Step 5

Cook the chicken over hot coals, turning occasionally, for 15-20 minutes, or until crisply browned and the juices run clear when a skewer is inserted into the thickest part of the meat.

Step 6

Serve at once.

Fantastic wings! I loved the flavor from the marinade. Grilling the wings was really easy and made them crisp up nicely. I was surprised to see that I didn't have tequila in my pantry..hmmm... So I used an already made margarita mix and skipped the sugar. It seemed to work just fine!

We enjoyed these wings tonight as it is our first bbq meal for this year. I wound up marinating for 48 hours, seeing that it was raining, therefore extended for another day. I also added extra cumin and oregano than what the recipe called for and it worked out well. Thank you Teresa for contributing to a great meal tonight and Thank you for sharing. Made it for Billboard and FYC.
