Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a bowl, combine the tuna, Swiss cheese, green onion and celery. In a small bowl combine sour cream and mayonnaise (if you like more creamier use more mayonnaise and sour cream); pour over tuna mixture and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 2

Divide the mixture over four slices of bread; top with remaining bread. Butter the outsides of sandwiches.

Step 3

On a large skillet over medium heat, toast sandwiches for 4-5 minutes on each side or until lightly browned.

I cut this recipe back for a light lunch, really pleased to find this is a delicious and easy to make Tuna Melt. So easy, for me toasting in the skillet took Tuna sandwiches to a new level. Thank you for sharing this perfect lunch for tuna lovers.

Because of my love for melts I chose this in the Billboard game, I made only one change an added lemon juice I can't eat any fish without it, this one is a real winner, thank you Maddie!
