Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200C and lightly butter and line a 20cm bread/loaf tin.
Step 2
Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl and pop in a pinch of salt, then make a well in the centre of the flour and pour in the cold beer and gently mix until the dough is evenly combined.
Step 3
Pour the mixture into the prepared bread tin, then pour over the melted butter.
Step 4
Bake for 40 minutes.
Step 5
The loaf should have a beautiful golden crust and sound hollow when tapped.
Step 6
Stand on a wire rack and enjoy warm - realy nice toasted and buttered.
