Stuffed Jalapeno-Cheddar Bacon Burger

"This is a lovely, juicy, tasty burger! If you like to BBQ grill the burgers over medium-high heat for apprx 12 minutes (6 minutes each side) Originally a Kraft recipe with some changes by me."

Cut the pepper croswise in half.
Cut half the pepper into thin slices.
Seed the other half and chop very small.
Mix meat, egg, garlic and chopped pepper.
Form into 8 patties.
Distribute half the cheese and the sliced jalapenos on 4 patties.
Top with the other patties.
Really seal the edges.
In a lightly oiled skillet fry the patties, 6 minutes each side
Brush with the BBQ sauce as you are frying them.
Top with remaining cheese, cover pan to let it melt.
While the burgers are cooking toast the inside of the buns.
Fill the buns with the cheese burger, lettuce and bacon.
