Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, divided
  • 3 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (Bull's Eye bbq sauce)
  • 4 (4 ounces) bread buns (burger buns)
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 4 (4 ounces) bacon slices (cooked crisp,cut in half)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut the pepper croswise in half.

  • Step 2: Cut half the pepper into thin slices.

  • Step 3: Seed the other half and chop very small.

  • Step 4: Mix meat, egg, garlic and chopped pepper.

  • Step 5: Form into 8 patties.

  • Step 6: Distribute half the cheese and the sliced jalapenos on 4 patties.

  • Step 7: Top with the other patties.

  • Step 8: Really seal the edges.

  • Step 9: In a lightly oiled skillet fry the patties, 6 minutes each side

  • Step 10: Brush with the BBQ sauce as you are frying them.

  • Step 11: Top with remaining cheese, cover pan to let it melt.

  • Step 12: While the burgers are cooking toast the inside of the buns.

  • Step 13: Fill the buns with the cheese burger, lettuce and bacon.

  • Step 14: Enjoy.
