"Broccolini is a hybrid cross between broccoli and Chinese gai lan. The taste is not altogether broccoli, but lies somewhere between broccoli and asparagus. The stems are much more slender than broccoli, and cook easily without paring. If you cannot get broccolini at your market, try a 50/50 mix of broccoli florets and tender asparagus spears."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Whisk together ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and set aside.
Step 2
Heat oil in a large skillet, and stir-fry broccolini with garlic and chilies until crisp-tender.
Step 3
Give the sauce another stir and pour into skillet. Stir until mixture thickens, then stir in sesame seeds and serve.
Tips
- Serve with rice. Add chicken, beef, pork or shrimp to this to make a main dish stir-fry and just double the sauce.
