Spicy Mushroom Burger Sauce for Pasta

"I made up this sauce to have over pasta - I didn't want any tomato based so I opened the cupboard and went from there. It is a very versatile recipe as you may use it as a sloppy joe or in a tastado - even as the sauce on a pizza. We enjoyed it I hope you will too. You may sub your own favorite burger spice mix."

I had to wait for the Weber's Spice Mix to come from Amazon, so I made this last night. I had never heard of that spice before, so I was excited to try it. The sauce was well flavored and I really loved it! I had it over quinoa. The spice mix really gave the sauce a great flavor. I didn't have to add any salt to it at all. If you want to try making your own spice mix here are the ingredients: Salt, dehydrated onion, spices, sugar, dehydrated garlic, brown sugar, dehydrated tomato, dehydrated red and green bell peppers, maltodextrin, worcestershire sauce (molasses, vinegar, corn syrup, salt, caramel color, garlic, sugar, spices, tamarind, natural flavor), natural smoke and grill flavors, extractives of paprika (color). It was a great meal that I will enjoy again. Thank you for sharing it here with us Bergy! Linda
