"This is very delicious, serve over garlic mashed potaotes with fresh green peas on the side. Fresh mushrooms may be used with 1/2 cup of beef broth, in place of canned."

Step 1

Season liver with salt and cayenne. Preheat frypan. Melt butter and saute onions until tender, about 10 minutes.

Step 2

Add liver and brown on all sides. Add mushrooms with liquid. Reduce heat, simmer covered for 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in sour cream and continue cooking for an additional 8 to 10 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.

We are liver lovers and this was so different than the way we usually have liver that I was excited to try it. It was delicious! I served it with mashed potatoes and stewed tomatoes and zucchini. My husband and I both loved it!

If you like liver you will love it! Wow, I can't believe how much I liked this. I halved the recipe as I was making it for just two, and we ate it all! I served garlic mashed potatoes and a mix of peas and mushrooms for a side. It will be repeated!
