Step 1

Place the beef into a slow cooker. Add the brown sugar, garlic, thyme, pepper and flour. Toss to coat. Stir the soup and ale in a small bowl. Pour over the beef.

Step 2

Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours, or on HIGH for 4-5 hours or until the beef is fork-tender. Serve with the mashed potatoes or noodles.

Tips & Variations

No special items needed.



Very good over noodles just served with scones and salad. I did use 12 ounces of orange juice instead of the beer but otherwise made as directed. Thanks for sharing!

Bergy (RIP" Forever in our Kitchen)

The short ribs came out cooked to perfection. Tender and moist. There was a lot of gravy which suited me to a "T". There is also leftover meat and with the extra gravy there will be delicious other meals. This will be another do again and again recipe
