"Creamy comfort food that cooks itself! Also very versatile. You can add different veggies or meat (or leave the meat out!) A couple of notes: This is made with condensed broccoli cheese soup, so there isn't a lot (other than what is in the condensed soup) of broccoli in it -- if you want it to have more broccoli, feel free to add it. I've done this by stirring in chopped steamed broccoli at the end of the cook time. I added frozen broccoli once and it was soupy (still tasty, though). This is VERY creamy; it will thicken as it cools. If you want a thinner sauce, cut back on the milk by about half a cup. Also, if you take the lid off the slow cooker and stir a few times, it will thicken up as the steam evaporates. If you want some spice, add a few shakes of cayenne until it's as spicy as you like it."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Spray a 4-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine the milk, sour cream, cream cheese, soup and contents of the seasoning packets from the boxed potatoes; blend well. Add the remaining ingredients (except the boiling water and the parsley); mix well. Pour mixture into the sprayed slow cooker. Pour boiling water over the potato mixture; stir to mix.
Step 2
Cover; cook on low setting for 7 to 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. Garnish with parsley, optional. (All slow cookers are different; when the mixture is creamy and the potatoes are tender, they're done. They hold for along time on warm, too).
