  • When selecting shrimp, look for firm, moist, and odor-free shrimp with a pinkish-gray color.
  • For the best flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice instead of bottled.

  • Substitute orange juice for the white wine to reduce the alcohol content. This substitution will make the dish more family-friendly, as it is an option for those who wish to avoid alcohol.
  • Substitute cooked shrimp for the raw shrimp to reduce preparation time. This substitution will make the dish more convenient, as it eliminates the need to thaw and peel the shrimp.

Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Scampi Substitute the butter with olive oil and add 1/4 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the garlic and cook until the cheese melts. Add the shrimp and continue with the recipe.

Garlic Roasted Asparagus - This simple yet delicious side dish is the perfect accompaniment for shrimp scampi. The garlic and lemon juice in the scampi will pair nicely with the roasted asparagus, and the combination of flavors will make for a delicious and balanced meal.

Lemon Garlic Orzo: This bright and flavorful side dish is the perfect complement to the garlic roasted asparagus. The lemon and garlic in the orzo will pair nicely with the flavors of the scampi and the roasted asparagus, creating a balanced and delicious meal.

Delicious! We only used one pound of shrimp and served it over rice. We also used the juice option. Thanks for sharing!

Shrimp Scampi is one of my top 5 favorite shrimp dishes and this one didn't disappoint. Not to subtle, not to strong, just right on taste. My favorite way to serve this is over jasmine rice and some crusty bread. Delicious! Thank you Gerry for sharing!

Very tasty dish...I served it alone...and enjoyed every bite..very easy to prepare...I didn't see a lot of juice to serve it over rice or noodles...but the flavor sure was there...made for "Bill Board" tag game...

This could easily become our favorite shrimp/prawn recipe. Fantastic flavour. I used the orange juice option and 3/4 teaspoon chili flakes. For the parsley I used flash frozen Italian herb mixture (it is parsley plus). The prawns were pink Argentinian. Served with steamed carrots, brussels sprouts and rice. The sauce over the rice was wonderful. Thanks Gerry for this keeper

Another winner Gerry! Served it on whole grain spaghetti and garlic bread. I used the orange juice option as I did not have any wine and added the hot chili flakes. We really enjoyed your version! Thank you for sharing. Made for Billboard Recipe Tag.

Very quick and easy. Served over linguini. Great flavors. An easy recipe to add to, I think. Would be good with some chopped tomato.
