Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds raw shrimp ( I use 2 pounds - thaw if frozen)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 4 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped (I like to use a combination of parsley and Italian leaf parsley)
  • 1/4 cup white wine (may sub with orange juice)
  • 1 lemon (juice of, freshly squeezed)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional - for those who like the extra zip - I add the shaker at the table)

How to Make

  • Step 1: If frozen thaw shrimp, peel and devein (may sub with a package of 'thaw and serve cooked' shrimp, tails removed)

  • Step 2: Peel and crush garlic, chop finely

  • Step 3: Over med heat melt butter

  • Step 4: Add garlic saute until translucent - do not brown

  • Step 5: Add wine and shrimp stirring shrimp, cook about five minutes or until shrimp is pink

  • Step 6: Add lemon juice,finely chopped parsley, salt and freshly ground pepper,toss and simmer a minute or two. Enjoy!
